This is a tough to find truck. If you don't know much about these military CUCVs, particularly the M1028, here is a bit of info:
The M1028 was designed to carry shelters (a big box that slid into the bed). To accomplish this task, they were equipped with options to offer a higher GVW than the other 5/4 ton CUCVs. This particular truck is the M1028A3. It has a 9400 lb gvw. This truck is just plain cool.
The truck is a regular cab long bed dually with the 8 ft box. Under the hood is the standard military J-code 6.2L diesel. The glow plug system works and needs nothing. The truck has 33,xxx miles. These appear to be orginal miles. The transmission is a TH400 and the T-case is the NP208. The front axle is the Dana 60 with a trac loc limited slip and the Rear is a Dana 70. Both have the stock 4.56 gearing.
The body is in remarkable shape. Good luck finding an ORIGINAL 1980s Chevy in this condition let alone a genuine military CUCV. There is some minor rust on the front inner fenders, a dent in the driver door and a small rust/dent spot behind the rear bumper on the passenger side.
The truck is currently PA inspected until 1/2019. If plating it in PA (non-antique) it will need re-inspected but I have no reason to believe it would not pass.
This is a turn key CUCV that you can get in and drive home.
The title is available and this truck can be registered as a regular truck or as an Antique (we are in PA, check your local rules)
