Hillbilly Wizard isn't just a collection of parts, we strive to help you find the best options for your project. The founder has many years of experience building 4x4s and even more working on equipment and machinery. Your project will benefit from experience which includes bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering as well as being a patent holder with the US patent and trademark office. Our team has grown over the years and boasts leaders in commercial fleet service, government operations and academic cooperatives. We've even been published by Diesel Power and Motor Trend magazines. The Hillbilly Wizard is a small family-owned operation and strives to treat each and every customer like a friend and neighbor. We love to help but please note that we cannot provide technical support for axles and products purchased elsewhere. As a legitimate registered business in the state of PA, we are required to charge sales tax. Wholesale customers with a resale certificate are welcome. PA sales tax is 6%.

A U.S. patent holder, John holds a Masters degree in Engineering Mechanics and a Bachelors degree in Plastics Engineering Technology, combining deep technical expertise with real-world know-how. His background includes key roles in Defense manufacturing, contracting, and program management, where precision and reliability are non-negotiable. With a passion for problem-solving and performance, John leads Hillbilly Wizard with one goal: to put our experience to work on your project.
Anne – The Wizardess of Hillbilly Wizard
Anne is the heart of the operation and the true Wizardess behind Hillbilly Wizard. Wearing many hats with ease, she handles everything from HR and payroll to business finances and strategic planning. Her sharp eye for detail and steady leadership keep the gears turning smoothly behind the scenes. Whether it’s balancing budgets, managing the team, or making critical business decisions, Anne ensures the foundation of HBW stays strong. Her dedication, versatility, and behind-the-scenes magic make her an irreplaceable force in the success of Hillbilly Wizard.
Hayden – Senior Technician & Project Lead at Hillbilly Wizard
With over 10 years at Hillbilly Wizard, Hayden has been through all the key positions in the HBW operation and a long-term figure in the company. A graduate of the DCTS Diesel Technology program, his deep expertise spans fleet maintenance, differential rebuilding, transmission refurbishing, and transfer case restoration, making him a go-to resource for complex drivetrain project planning. In addition to hands-on technical skills, Hayden excels in project estimating, planning, and execution, ensuring each job is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. He is affectionately known as "The Idea Man".
Tydon – Technical Specialist at Hillbilly Wizard
Tydon, another long-term member of the team is the wizard behind the curtain at Hillbilly Wizard—bringing unmatched technical expertise and a relentless, can-do attitude to every project. Graduating at the top of his class in the DCTS Diesel Technology program, he combines formal training with real-world savvy, making him a vital asset in our shop. Tydon’s vast knowledge of tools, equipment, and mechanical systems allows him to diagnose and solve problems that leave others scratching their heads. Whether it’s drivetrain diagnostics or fabricating custom solutions, his precision and positive energy keep projects moving forward. JT – Parts Technician at Hillbilly Wizard
JT is a graduate of the DCTS Automotive Technology program and a former co-op student who quickly proved himself as a valuable member of the Hillbilly Wizard team. Focused and reliable, JT plays a key role in our parts operations—especially when it comes to CUCV components. If you've received an order for military surplus or CUCV parts, there's a strong chance JT was the driving force behind getting it pulled, prepped, and in your hands with care. His dedication and growing expertise help keep our shop running smoothly and our customers satisfied.
Luke – Wizard in Training
Luke is a true Wizard in training, having grown up with Hillbilly Wizard woven into his everyday life. From a young age, he's been immersed in the world of axles, gearsets, and garage grit—learning the ropes hands-on alongside the team.
