Product Description
Original isolated ground alternator for CUCV M1009, M1008 and similar. Until further notice, only rebuilt alternators are available.
A core charge of $100 will be refunded upon return of an isolated ground alternator core. If you prefer, we can rebuild your alternator and send it back to you. Shipping of the core is the buyers responsibility. We can provide a prepaid label if you wish. The cost is deducted from the core.
Please note: At this time we have discontinued the offering of New Alternators. NOS units are out of stock. We tried some new units that were available through one of our supply chains and we were not satisfied with the quality. We believe that the original CUCV alternators, professionally rebuilt, are the best value. Our rebuilder only uses quality parts, something missing from the new units we investigated.
All alternators are equipped with the proper sized pulley for the CUCV ensuring a proper belt fitment. The same alternator is used on the driver and passenger side. As long as they are isolated ground, they can be used in either position.
Alternator may vary slightly from stock photos shown but is genuine military with isolated ground for the CUCV.

CUCV Iso-Ground Alt
The alt received from John, was indeed NOS as advertised and worked great and was indeed isolated as it was supposed to be. It even came with the proper 77mm pulley. Will definitely buy again.
