Opening for a Mechanic and/or Parts Specialist

Are you the kind of person who loves trucks?  Did you grow up wrenching and still enjoy taking your truck out on the trail, in the rocks or mud?  Maybe you are a truck puller at heart?  HillbillyWizard needs your skills.  We are seeking a Full or Part Time mechanic in Halifax, PA. Almost everything we build and sell is 4x4 and truck related.  We specialize in custom axle builds as well as new and used parts sales.      We are looking for someone who is passionate about 4x4s and knows the basics of mechanics.   Knowledge of axles and axle rebuilds and /or military surplus is a plus but not required.  You don’t need to know everything, just come with an open mind and a good attitude.  I’m sure we can learn something from each other.

Having your own tools is a bonus but not required.  Certifications are a bonus but not a requirement.  Working on trucks requires that the successful candidate keep safety in mind.

That’s the mechanic side so now, what is a parts specialist?  Much of our business is done with online sales.  A fully successful candidate will have the ability to condition, catalog and market parts for sale online.  We operate an E-commerce website in addition to Ebay Auctions and business to business  parts sales.   As a parts specialist you will prepare, photograph parts and list online with the Big Commerce platform.

If you are dishonest or want to steal, please don’t waste our time or yours, it just won’t work out.  We like to think that we are easy to get along with and we won’t ask you to do anything we wouldn’t do ourselves.

Pay!  That’s why we go to work right?  We pay by the hour and our payroll is done bi-weekly.

Work hours.  We can develop a flexible work schedule to meet both of our needs.  At least one Saturday per pay period is required.

A fully Successful Candidate will have the following:

Dynamic Positive attitude and the ability to work with customers

Knowledge and demonstration of safety in a shop environment

Attention to detail and organization skills

Be reliable and have a good work ethic

The ability to multi-task and adjust to varying work assignments

Able to work independently with minimal supervisor oversight

Experience in building rear ends and knowledge of proper gear set-up
